Jagat Raya means the whole world, but for this band according to their concept on their music, Jagat Raya means The whole of darkness world !!!!

This band established in Malang on April 1998 by Ivan (drum) and Dominggus (guitar). Just for a while Maman (vocal) and Onny (bass) became the first formation too.

On Maret 1999 Maman went out from this band, so, Onny be a vocalist and bassist. Between September 2000 until April 2000 some extreme musicians had been this band personnels such as Munis, Andre, Doris, Bona, Dani. This moment their formation are Doris (vocal), Andre (guitar), Dominggus (guitar), Bona (bass), Dani (keyboard), Ivan (drum).

Pointed on darkness, majesty, and eternity, Jagat Raya composed some songs which are influenced by Satyricon, Emperor, Naglfar, and Cradle of Filth.
